I bought some wonderful super soft yarn at Aloha Yarn awhile back. Its baby alpaca and silk and a gorgeous swampy green color. ( I get weak in the knees over swampy green) I had started a scarf with it and kept wrapping it around my arm as I went, imagining it as a sweater sleeve. Then after knitting about 12 inches of scarf I decided to rip it out and make arm socks out it rather then just another scarf. I'm going to keep knitting these till they are about 3 inches above each elbow.
I wear a lot of your classic black rock T-shirts. Like, almost everyday, so its nice to have something cozy on your arms when the AC gets a tad chilly. And the past few days its actually been a bit chilly here! We are supposed to get a thunderstorm or two...sometime in the next couple of days, but all I think I'm getting is my chain yanked. I do not like getting my chain yanked when it comes to thunderstorms. Hawaii has been screwing with me the past 9 years by not putting out a thunderstorm when the forecasters say one is coming. A gal can only take so much. ;0)
Lookit my pretty new machine! A wonderful gal named Veronica gifted her to me! She found her abandoned while taking a drive. When I got her home I cleaned her up some. She is going to need a good once over with the dremel to get some light rusting off of her. I took off her motor and light set up and attached a hand crank. She is now people powered. She was born July 5th 1933. I think she is a total doll!
A really well made, sturdy little Singer that just needed a little TLC and oil, now she is humming along.

I too have a weakness for swampy green, and that one is indeed lovely!
Your singer is beautiful I drooled a little. But it was out of both sides of my mouth so now I know my floor is level...
